Carl Edward Loucks

	Carl Edward Loucks, 75, of Sesser, went to be with his Lord and savior at 4:37 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2003 at his home.
	Carl was born September 18, 1928 in Scheller, the son of Emro and Clara (Mobray) Loucks.  He was united in marriage to Anna Mae Zettler on November 19, 1949.
	Prior to his death, he was a Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent at White Oak Baptist Church in Scheller.
	Throughout the years Carl was employed at various places.  He was a lifelong farmer, gardener and family man.  He loved being with his family and spending lots of time with his little buddy, Presty.
	He is survived by his loving and devoted wife; one daughter, Doris Worley and husband Randall and one son, Gene Loucks, all of Scheller; granddaughters, Tammy Launius and husband John of Sesser, Andrea Worley of Scheller, Chanda Loucks of Mt. Vernon, Amanda Gajewski and husband Eric of Scheller; grandsons, Brent Loucks and wife Becky and Bryce Worley, all of Scheller; great-grandsons, Preston Launius, Seth Loucks and expecting Quinn Gajewski.  He is also survived by one sister, Mary Tennyson and husband Herman; three brothers, Carson and wife Nellie, Dean and wife Barb and Cliff and wife Nancy; sisters-in-law, Loretta Gladson, Viola Dublo, Edna Morgan and the late Ira; brothers-in-law, George and Wilma Zettler, Robert and Helen Zettler; very special friends, Jim and Eleanor Lou Painter and several nieces, nephews and friends.
	He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Helen Loucks, Dorothy Panzier, Velma Robinson and Ruth Zettler and two brothers, Howard and James.
	Services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 23 at the Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home in Sesser with Brother Woody Wilson officiating.  Visitation was from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  Interment was in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Sesser.
